Do Republican’s REALLY "Love" the Constitution as much as they claim?
It seems to me that the only thing most right wingers care about in our Constitution is the 2nd amendment. When it comes to our other rights it is like they only support them when they AGREE with the cause at hand.
Conservatives certainly do not care much for the 4th amendment. When someone gets accused of a crime and is let go because the police executed an illegal search, the right wingers go ballistic. They would eliminate Miranda if they could.
Right wingers certainly do not believe in Freedom of Religion. They seem only comfortable with religion as long as it is "Christian." This New York City mosque issue is a classic example. Here is LEGAL religious group, using PRIVATE property to build a community center. Right wingers do not want it there because it hurts their feelings due to it being too close to the WTC. Sounds like rightie "political correctness" to me.
The same goes for them wanting to create a constitutional amendment banning flag burning. Talk about political correctness. They want to ban an act of political protest simply because it hurts their feelings.
Right wingers completely ignore the "general welfare" clause in the Constitution.
Libertarians are not much better. In fact, they remind me of the biblical Pharasees that Jesus locked horns with. They have the LETTER of the Constitution but not the spirit of it.
Right wingers most often blindly support law enforcement in controversial cases. They have no sympathy for someone who might be innocent on death row.
Right wingers openly support. discrimination against people that they do not like. They deny equality to gays and lesbians.
Right wingers almost always side with the rich and powerful over the less powerful.
Right wingers like Robert Bork deny that there even is a right to privacy.
Honestly, those "Tea Party" folks have not a clue. They scream "No government run health care" while at least half of them are on Medicare.

I have no problem with people getting out of the insurance mandate as long as you sign a waiver declining any life saving medical treatment that you can not pay for.
You see, people without health insurance are creating economic hardship for the rest of us. When they get sick, end up in the hospital, can’t pay, the cost is passed down to everyone else. We pay higher insurance premiums because of this, as well as higher taxes.
So are. You willing to opt out?

Let’s see. Bush gave us two wars that he DID NOT PAY FOR. He gave us a Prescription drug give away to seniors that HE DID NOT PAY FOR. He gave us 700 billion in TARP, 137 BILLION to AIG, 12 BILLION to Bear Sterns, the first 19 billion to the auto companies. He DID NOT PAY FOR any of it The Republican Congress and Bush just tact it on the deficit. The same goes for his 700 billion in tax cuts for the rich.

You are completely detached from reality. Conservatives support the Bill of Rights. Liberals are the ones forcing people to buy consumer products and taking the establishment clause of the 1st Amendment completely out of proportion.
